GREENLIGHT GALLERY: MONTREAL SKATERS SHOWCASE SK8 ART

GROWSK8LIFE TEAM skater, Frédérique Luyet, has made us feel like proud parents, yet again. Frédérique recently participated in her first art show at The Greenlight Gallery, on St. Laurent Street, in picturesque Montreal. The Greenlight Gallery features monthly art shows, exhibiting the work of local artists and that of owner Arti Giulioni.

Art Director and colleague, Barry Walsh, is a skateboarder in his own right, with  over 30 years of skating the streets of Montreal, he has seen skateboarding through many eras. With Barry's skate history he saw the vast potential in showcasing skateboard art in a variety of mediums. Together, Walsh and Giulioni, developed the show's concept, to be dubbed "The Board Meeting: SK8 Art Show."

With over 50 artists participating, GROWSK8LIFE's, Frédérique Luyet, displayed her stunning mosaic pieces, selling for $250 a piece. We would like to congratulate her, as well as the Greenlight Gallery. Skateboarders have so much to offer the communities that they live in and often times their talent goes unnoticed. It is progressive thinking, like that of the Barry Walsh and Arti Giulioni, that provides a much needed platform for skateboarders to demonstrate their talents beyond skateboarding. Thank you so much gentleman.
